Robbery at PML-Q man’s petrol pump

SAHIWAL, Jan 9: A petrol pump owned by the PML-Q secretary-general was looted here on Sahiwal-Pakpattan Road near Pakpattan Chowk on Wednesday early morning.

Reports said five dacoits riding a car came to the petrol pump of former MPA Rana Aftab Ahmed and asked the salesman to fill the tank. In the meantime, they overpowered the security guard, manager, the salesman and locked them in the washroom. After getting keys of the safe, they took away Rs402,000 and two cell phones.

Grain Market police have registered a case under section 395 of the PPC.

A police patrol said they had found the security guard sleeping at 4am and awakened him, but the incident took place at 5am.

ROBBERIES: A gang of 22 bandits on Wednesday morning looted six houses of farmers at Sanpal Town near Sanpal Chowk, Kasowal.

They decamped with valuables amounting to Rs6.294 million, 20 mobile phones, 10 cameras and four pump action guns.

Reports said the gangsters entered the house of Mehr Allah Yar Sanpal at 11pm. After locking the family in a room, they took away valuables and thereafter looted the houses of Mehr Arshad Sanpal, Mehr Zahid Sanpal, Mehr Zahoor Ahmed Sanpal, Mehr Khalid and Mehr Aftab.

Kasowal police are investigating.
