Balochistan to have acting governor

QUETTA, Jan 5: Balochistan High Court Chief Justice Amanullah Yasinzai will take oath as acting governor of the province on Sunday.

He will replace Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani who has been appointed governor of the NWFP.

Caretaker Chief Minister Sardar Mohammad Saleh Bhootani said that the chief justice would perform as acting governor till general elections.

Sources said that the acting governor would take the oath of his office at the Governor’s House in the afternoon.

Before taking the oath of his new responsibilities, the chief justice would administer the oath of acting chief justice of the Balochistan High Court to Justice Ahmed Khan Lashari.
