3 policemen injured

KOHAT, Jan 4: Three policemen and their driver were injured when their pick-up hit a remote-controlled explosive device near the Rawalpindi Interchange of the Indus Highway on Thursday night, police said.

The sources said the device exploded when the pick-up of the Saddar Police Station was passing. The vehicle was destroyed in the explosion and ASI Abdur Rashid, constables Akhtar Gul and Akhtar Nawaz and driver Akhtar Zaman were injured.

The injured policemen were taken to the KDA Medical Complex where doctors said the condition of the inspector was critical.
