BAHAWALPUR, Jan 2: Four office-bearers of the District Bar Association were declared elected unopposed after scrutiny of nomination papers by the election committee here on Wednesday.

Those elected unopposed are: vice-president Mahr Muhammad Ramzan, general secretary Chaudhry Muhammad Jamil, finance secretary Naghma Parveen and library secretary Muhammad Afzal Chaudhry. Now two candidates Yahya Khan and Iqbal Sial are in the run for presidential slot. There are two candidates for the office of auditor, who are: Chaudhry Arshad Mahmood and Umair Mahmood and 12 candidates for eight seats of executive committee. The polling will be held on Jan 15 instead of Jan 5. — Correspondent
