Umar Gul to resume bowling

Published January 2, 2008

LAHORE, Jan 1: Speedster Umar Gul is likely to resume his bowling from Wednesday after having forced to miss the recently concluded three-Test series against India due to a recurring back problem.

Speaking to the reporters here on Tuesday, Umar said that he felt quite fit and after receiving advice from his doctor was all set to resume fast bowling from Wednesday.

One of the key pacers in the Pakistan line-up, Umar said his fitness problems were of similar nature to that which bothered him in 2004 and which were mainly caused by playing constant cricket for two years.
