KARACHI: DUHS declares MBBS results

KARACHI, Jan 1: The Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) on Tuesday announced the results of third professional MBBS annual examinations of the Dow Medical College and Sindh Medical College.

According to results, Ms Sobia Mujtaba has secured the first position with 478 marks, Hafiz Abdul Moiz Fakir second position with 466 marks and Ms Nita Raffia third position with 450 marks out of the total 600 marks.

A total of 505 students appeared in the examination out of whom 441 have been declared successful. The pass percentage stood at 87.5.

Bask, BS & Mac exams

The University of Karachi on Tuesday announced that first/second semester examinations 2007 for Bask (Nursing), BS (Medical Technology), Mac (Physiotherapy) and BS (Textile, Weaving and Wet Processing) that had earlier been scheduled for Dec 28, 2007, would commence on Jan 11, 2008.

The semester examinations of affiliated colleges, including the Marshy Hospital and the Liquat National Hospital (Bask Nursing), Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation and Liaquat National Hospital (BS Medical Technology), Liquate National Hospital and Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (MSc Physiotherapy) and S.M.A. Rizvi Textile Institute (BS Textile, Weaving and Wet Processing) will be held at the Departments of Botany and Physiology.—PPI
