TAXILA, Dec 31: The PPP local leaders on Monday vowed they would continue to work for accomplishing late Benazir Bhutto’s mission for a democratic Pakistan. This pledge was made at the Soyem of Benazir Bhutto held at the residence of PPP senior member Khadim Hussain Shah in Cantonment area.

Hundreds of PPP workers, activists and local leaders including people from different walks of life attended the soyem. Moving scenes were also seen on this occasion.

The local PPP leaders said that this heinous act had shaken the very foundation of the country and this was a tragedy of this decade.

After the Soyem, party workers shouted slogans against some leaders and said they would take revenge of their leader’s murder. During their speeches, they demanded of the government apprehend the mastermind behind the assassination of Benazir Bhutto.

Later addressing a press conference, PPP President Taxila chapter Malik Najeebur Rehman Arshad endorsing Asif Ali Zardari’s statement regarding Q League he said PML-Q president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain’s reaction was uncalled for. He said Chaudhry Shujaat attributed his Q League with Quaid-i-Azam but its acts what he said were against the aspiration and teachings of founder of the nation.

HASSANABDAL: Benazir Bhutto’s Soyem was held at Hassanabdal on Monday. Addressing a Press conference here PPP local leader and Candidate from PP-17 Ishtiaq Khan claimed that Benazir Bhutto’s assassination was a conspiracy of the Q League. PPP President Attock district chapter Sher Afzal Khan, Hassanabdal chapter President Ashar Hayat Khan was also present on this occasion. Repudiating the involvement of Al-Qaeda or Baitullah Mahsud in the murder of PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto, he said that it was but an act of the Q league in the collaboration with the government.
