HYDERABAD, Dec 31: Qasimabad police have lodged a case under section seven of Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) against Hyderabad district president of PPP Zahid Ali Bhurgari, UC nazim Mehboob Abro and People’s Youth Organisation’s Hyderabad division president Ehsan Abro for torching the bungalow of Arbab Zakaullah, former MNA and maternal nephew of Sindh chief minister Dr.Arbab Ghulam Rahim.

The FIR was lodged on the complaint of Mohammad Hassan Qazi, the manager of Arbab Zakaullah, under sections 147, 148, 435 PPC and 7-ATA against the accused vide crime no 249/07 by Qasimabad.

The bungalow, located in Ghulam Mohammad Barrage colony of Qasimabad, was torched by unknown miscreants when the city witnessed unprecedented violence on December 27 following assassination of PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto.

Mehboob Abro had announced joining PPP in presence of late Benazir Bhutto on December 17 when she addressed a rally in Hyderabad’s Isra university ground. PML’s candidate for PS-47 Jam Khan Shoro had also announced joining PPP with Abro.

At every police station FIRs are being lodged under directives of police high-ups against arsonists who are also involved in loot.
