Ex-official held for corruption

QUETTA, April 2: A former additional chief secretary of planning and development, Maj (retd) Nadir Ali, was rearrested on Tuesday in a new reference filed against him in an accountability court by the Regional Accountability Bureau.

Maj Ali was released last moth by the Balochistan High Court on bail in another reference which he had been facing in the accountability court of Quetta. In the new reference, he has been charged with making illegal assets. The court, headed by a senior judge, Mohammed Anwar Kasi, ordered police to arrest him.
