PESHAWAR, Dec 28: The Saarc Medical Association has announced a seven day mourning period in reaction to the tragic demise of PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto.

The association demanded that a medical board be formed to ascertain the actual cause of death.

In a statement issued on Friday, the association said the board should comprise doctors from all four provinces to examine the medical report of the Rawalpindi General Hospital, ascertain the actual cause of death and make the findings public within 48 hours.

It condemned the former prime minister’s assassination in the strongest possible terms.
