Vote for Your heart

VEHARI, Dec 26: Amid candidates going mad for victory in the upcoming polls, a woman hopeful gets noticed by offering heart treatment for votes in PP-236, Vehari-V.

Nafisa Rashed, an independent candidate for the provincial assembly seat, made the unusual offer while she was electioneering at Chak-47/WB on Wednesday.

At a small public meeting held at the village, an announcement was made on behalf of the candidate, rather to the astonishment of the participants, that any voter with an ailing heart could approach Ms Nafisa with his or her case history for the sponsored treatment, including the surgery, if needed.

However, the announcer hastened to add that the offer was valid till Jan 8, the polling day.
