KARACHI, Dec 19: Five ships carrying containers and to load naphtha and ethanol are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves slow where three ships, APL Brisbane to unload and load containers and Sealo-1 and Lucky-7 to load cement were berthed after the departure of five.
The ships, which departed included Cosco Lian Yun and Gang, Conti Germany, Augusta, Golden Arrow-2 and Ncc Asir, while Lucky-7, Lalazar, Spica, Mayrin, Hanin, Al-Rabab, Pac Antilia, APL Brisbane, Kapitan Byankin, Oregon Highway and Sealo-1 are due to sail out on Thursday.
A total tonnage of 0.143m tons comprising 31,547 tons of export cargo and 0.112m tons of import tonnage was handled on Wednesday.
The following ships are due on Thursday: Elka Vassiliki to load 40,000 tons of naphtha, D.I Aster to load ethanol, Helene Rickmers, Hanjin Qingdao with containers and Khairpur with general cargo.
The following vessels are due on Friday: Emirates Gondwana, Mir Damad with containers, Hacun with 25,213 tons of DAP fertiliser and Vick Wing with 38,340 tons of coal.
The following ships are due on Saturday: New Setokaze with 3,000 tons of plam oil, Conti Esperance, Comorin Pride, Oel Strength, Global Progress with containers and Beiuga Expectation with project cargo.
