KESC bills

Published December 19, 2007

KARACHI, Dec 18: The Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has urged the Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) to extend the last date for payment of utility bills till Dec 31.

In a statement here on Monday, KCCI president Shamim Ahmad Shamsi said that the government had declared Eid holidays from Dec 20 to 22 and then Dec 25 as the birth anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah.

These consecutive holidays will leave a short time to consumers to pay electricity bills, he argued. The extension will facilitate consumers to pay their bills without extra charges, he said.—APP
