GUJRANWALA, Dec 17: A boy who was kidnapped for a Rs1 million ransom three days ago was recovered from Mandi Bahauddin on Monday. The Baghbanpura police also arrested two men who confessed to their crime.

Three-year-old Faizan, son of Saifullah, an expatriate, was playing with his friends in a street in Faisal Colony when two people lifted him. They took him to Mandi Bahauddin and detained him at their relatives’ house.

Later, the kidnappers contacted Faizan’s family on phone and demanded Rs1 million for his release.

The police traced their hideout and arrested the kidnappers besides rescuing the boy. The kidnappers were later identified as Sufian and Shahid Butt who were residents of the same locality. — Correspondent
