KARACHI: Arts Council poll results

KARACHI, Dec 17: The Hashmi panel emerged victorious in the Arts Council of Pakistan polls held on Sunday, by defeating the Adab-o-Saqafat panel with a huge margin.

Syed Masood Hashmi won the seat of vice-president, while Ahmed Shah and Mahmood Khan have been elected as secretary and treasurer respectively.

The elected members of the governing body include Saifur Rehman Grami, Ijaz Farooqui, Sahar Ansari, Shahnaz Siddiqui, Rizwan Siddiqui, Javed Saba, Amin Yusuf, Dr Kaiser Sajjad, Shahina Puri, Sohail Ahmed, Javed Hassan and Najam Shaikh. —Staff Reporter
