Man kills wife, two daughters

SAHIWAL, Dec 15: A man killed his wife and two daughters in Chak 52/5-L of Basti Islampur.

Cloth vendor Niamat Ali wed Razia some years ago, but his relationship with her got strained soon after the marriage. He had a row with her late on Friday night and subsequently killed her with a meat cleaver fodder cutter. Later, he also killed his daughters Amna (9) and Tanzeela (6), while his son Ejaz (11) fled with his infant brother Zulfiqar from the house to save their lives. He told neighbours about the incident but in the meantime Ali fled.

However, APP reported that Ali suspected Razia had an affair with a man of the same locality. Yusafwala police arrested the accused.—Correspondent
