Inter-district Under-17 athletics

LAHORE, Dec 11: The Punjab Sports Board Inter-district Under-17 (Girls) athletics championship will commence on Wednesday here at the Punjab Stadium.

Some 11 disciplines will be contested, which include 100, 200, 800, 1,500 metres races, shot putt, high-jump, long-jump, discus and javelin throw, and 4x100 metres relay races.

The winning district of Punjab will be awarded Rs40,000, while the runners-up will get Rs30,000 and the third place holder Rs20,000. The winner of each discipline will also be awarded Rs5,000 and similarly, the second and third place holders will receive Rs3,000 and Rs2,000, respectively.

The championship ends on Dec 14.
