KARACHI: City gets winter showers

Published December 11, 2007

KARACHI, Dec 10: Several parts of the city received light to moderate showers on Monday afternoon. Rainwater accumulated in some localities and made roads and streets slippery. The showers also turned the evening a little chillier.

A Met official said less than 1mm rain was recorded in the city, adding that it was a normal winter rain caused by the western system coming from Iran.

Meanwhile, the Met Office has forecast partly cloudy weather with chances of rain in the city during the next 24 hours. The minimum temperature on Tuesday is expected to range between 15 and 17 degrees centigrade.

The maximum temperature of 30 degrees centigrade was recorded at Turbat and the minimum of -1 degrees centigrade at Zhob hill station, Balochistan on Monday.—PPI
