KARACHI, Dec 6: Three ships carrying containers and edible oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Meanwhile, four more ships with containers, diesel oil and edible oil arrived at the outer anchorage.

A total of 10 ships, Nedlloyd Africa, Qatar, Sima Pars, Don Bass, Bernice, Zabrjad, Hartati, Archangels, Al-Farabi and Kaghan, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, rice, edible oil, crude oil, chemicals and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 77,756 tons comprising 50,457 tons of import and 27,299 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Nedlloyd Africa, Sima Pars, Don Bass and Al-Farabi left the port while Archangels and Qatar were expected to depart on Thursday.
