MIRPURKHAS, Dec 5: On the order of the district and sessions court Mirpurkhas, a case was lodged against three former police officials, already detained in Mirpurkhas district prison, here on Tuesday night for manhandling and issuing threats to a complainant in the premises of the district and sessions court.

The complainant, Mohammad Naeem Arain, lodged a case under Section 506 (ii), 504, 337 L (ii) and 34 PPC with town police, accusing that on Oct 27, after hearing of a case, he was on his way when in the court Mirpurkhas former sub-inspector Mohammad Abid Kaimkhani, former constables Zulfiqar Bhatti and Rehmatullah manhandled him despite being in police custody and issued threats of dire consequences if he did not withdraw the case against them.

He further said the accused, Abid Kaimkhani, took a pistol from a police officer there, but he fled from the spot and hide into a nearby room of the court.Naeem Arain had submitted a complaint in the court of the district and sessions judge Mirpurkhas after this incident.booked: Five people were booked for kidnapping a woman and looting her gold ornaments here on Tuesday.

Under the orders of the DPO Mirpurkhas, a resident of Bin Qasim, Karachi, Nadia Tasleem, had lodged a case under Section 397, 364 and 511 PPC with town police, accusing that on Oct 28, she came to district and sessions court Mirpurkhas on hearing of a case.

As she came out of the court Nasir, Arshad, Ghulam Mustafa, Muneer and Iftikhar tried to kidnap her at gunpoint and looted gold bangles worth Rs120,000, Rs35,000 cash and cellphone.
