KARACHI, Dec 5: Caretaker Sindh Finance Minister Dewan Mohammed Yusuf Farooqui ordered on Wednesday immediate release of Rs10 million for expediting development works at journalists’ colony in Hawkesbay.

The minister said that efforts would be made to extend maximum financial help to press clubs in Sindh and necessary steps would be taken to raise the annual grant for Karachi Press Club (KPC) to Rs5 million.

He was talking to a delegation of KPC led by its president Sabihuddin Ghausi. He assured the delegation that their genuine problems would be solved on a priority basis. The minister said that remaining funds for the Journalist’s colony would also be provided and he would visit the site next week.—APP
