Three die, 7 hurt on road

CHINIOT, March 29: Three people were killed while seven others sustained injuries in different road accidents here on Friday.

Mirza Khan, a tractor-trolley driver, was crushed under the wheels of his vehicle on the Jhang Road when it jumped off on a bumper.

Meanwhile, the rashly-driven van (LHJ-1852) collided with a cane laden trolley on the same road. Two of the wagon occupants died on the spot while seven others sustained injuries. The injured were taken to a hospital.

Those injured are Irshad, Akhtar, Arshad, Afzal, Mazhar Iqbal, Ehsan and Liaquat.

SHOT DEAD: A man was shot dead by some armed men over an old family feud here on Friday.

According to details, Khizar Hayat of Kandiawal village was on his way back home on his motorcycle when Zafar, Mamman, Mumtaz and Nazir shot him dead. — Correspondent
