KARACHI, Nov 30: Ten ships carrying palm oil, phosphate and to load ethanol and cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where six vessels, Natfo Cement to load cement, Hanjin Port Adelaide, Mol Asante to unload and load containers, Capitan Rashid to unload rock phosphate, Westama and B.W. Clipper, both tankers, were berthed after the departure of as many.
The ships which were sailed out included Hyundai Future, Hansa Stavanger, St. Irene, Moyra, Oak Galaxy and Red Sea Spirit, while Sea Trout, B.W. Clipper, Hanjin Port Adelaide, Calvin P. Titus, Cosco Shekon and Nafto Cement are due to sail out on Saturday.
A total tonnage of 81,283 tons comprising 26,694 tons of export cargo including 6,157 tons of cement and 54,589 tons of import tonnage was handled on Friday.
The following ships are due on Saturday: Bunga Nelati Satu with 10,500 tons of RBD palm oil, Hartati with 13,500 tons of palm oil, Asian Queen to load 20,000 tons of cement, North Pole with chemicals, Sea Spirit with mogas, Jo Syeamore to load ethanol, Thent Ocean, Faith-1, Conti Germany with containers and Ikan Altamira with 37,726 tons of phosphate.
