SIALKOT, Nov 27: As many as 120 Basic Health Units (BHUs) have been functioning without the facility of laboratory since long as a result patients have to go to far-off urban areas in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur.

According to a Sialkot health department official, the lab facility was not provided to 120 BHUs of the district since their establishment several decades ago.

He said most of these BHUs did not have X-ray, ECG and Ultrasound facilities, causing a great deal of inconvenience to patients. People have urged the government to look into the matter for providing relief to the suffering patients.
