ABBOTTABAD, Nov 27: Veteran politician Air Marshal (retd) Asghar Khan has said that the participation of political parties in the election will strengthen Gen Musharraf’s position and weaken the movement for the restoration of democracy launched by the lawyers and the media.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, he said the movement was of great importance for the restoration of democracy in the country.

“Those political parties and individuals who participated in this election will help prolong military rule and they will be guilty of collaborating with the enemies of Qauid-i-Azam’s Pakistan and they will endanger the future of the country,” he said.—Correspondent
