SAHIWAL, Nov 25: Justice Tariq Mehmood (retired) will be taken to Services Hospital, Lahore, for medical check up on Monday morning from where he will be shifted to Kot Lakhpat jail.

Reports said that all detainees, including 27 lawyers, were released from the Central Jail, Sahiwal, after withdrawal of their detention orders by the Punjab Home Department.

On Saturday night, the last detainee, Umar Hayat advocate, was released. Those released from the central jail belonged to districts of Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Rawalpindi and Faisalabad.

PRISONER DIES: A prisoner of the central jail died in the DHQ Hospital under mysterious circumstances on Sunday.

Reports said that Fakhar Abbas had burnt to death his rival some two years back. On Saturday night, he was shifted to hospital after his condition deteriorated.
