Six held with 34 bottles of wine

KASUR, March 28: Six men were arrested with 34 bottles of wine, Chunian police claimed on Thursday.

Police said they raided a house and recovered 30 bottles of wine from the custody of Muhammad Latif and his two accomplices.

In another raid, police recovered 4 bottles of wine from Muhammad Shafiq and two other men.

GIRL RAPED: A girl was raped in Chunian while a woman was abducted with her daughter from Pattoki on Thursday.

Police said that Muhammad Sarwar entered into the house of the girl, raped her at gunpoint and fled away.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Ayub and his two accomplices abducted Rashidan Bibi with her two-year-old daughter Shamaila Bibi from Madar Chak No 26, Pattoki.

The culprits also took away gold ornaments and thousands of rupees.

WIRE STOLEN: Thieves took away 815 meter of electricity wire near Khudian. As a result, electricity supply to a number of villages was suspended.

Police registered a case.
