MIRPURKHAS, Nov 20: Two police constables of Tando Jan Mohammad police station died and two others received serious injuries when a tractor trolley loaded with sugarcane collided with their vehicle on Tando Jan Mohammad-Digri road on Tuesday.

The mobile of Tando Jan Mohammad police was on a routine patrolling, when a tractor trolley loaded with sugarcane collided head on with it, as result of which two constables Asghar Ali Jatt and Safdar Ali died on the spot, while two other constables Mohammad Siddique and Mohammad Aslam sustained serious injuries.

The injured were rushed to the Taluka Hospital Digri. The driver of the tractor trolley escaped. Police impounded the tractor trolley. No FIR was lodged till the filing of this report.

PROTEST: Lawyers of Mirpurkhas boycotted the court proceedings for an hour. Later, as a mark of protest, they attended the courts, wearing black armbands. Lawyers in Umerkot also boycotted the court proceedings for an hour.
