BANNU, Nov 19: An engineer and a driver working for a non-governmental organisation were kidnapped from near Taji Killa here on Monday. Officials identified the kidnapped officials as sub-engineer Mohammad Yousaf Khan and driver Zahid of the Community Uplift Programme (CUP). They were going to Serai Naurang from Bannu.

The gunmen, who had taken away the two men along with their car, later abandoned the vehicle. Police officials said that another worker of the CUP, Saeedur Rehman, posted in its Lakki Marwat office, had been kidnapped some time ago.
