HYDERABAD, Nov 19: The Dean, Faculty of Architecture, Planning, Arts and Design, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, Prof Dr Dost Ali Khowaja here on Monday inaugurated the first Annual Art Festival at the Centre of Excellence in Arts and Design.

Paintings, designs and statues were prepared by students of all batches. A cultural show was also organised which presented folk dance and music of all four provinces.

Prof Dr Dost Ali extended full cooperation of the university to the centre. He also read out a message of the Vice Chancellor, Dr A.Q.K. Rajput, who could not attend the festival due to preoccupation.

He said students and faculty members were working hard and added that if this spirit continued, the centre will gain recognition not only at national but also at international level.

Director of the Centre, Dr Bhai Khan Shar appreciated the work of students.
