Outlaw wanted in 92 cases held

OKARA, Nov 18: Police claimed on Sunday to have arrested a criminal wanted in 92 murder, dacoity and robbery cases.

Sajid Naeem and Saeed Ahmad were on way to their village from Darbar Bala Peer on a motorcycle on Saturday night when Imtiaz, Samar and Ashraf intercepted them and snatched from them motorcycle, money and a cell phone.

They informed police about the incident. Police chased the robbers and arrested Imtiaz after a shootout. However, Samar and Ashraf fled.

Police said it had announced Rs500,000 bounty on

Imtiaz’s head, adding Samar was also one of the top 10 criminals who had bounty on their heads.

Imtiaz’s brother Taj was killed in an encounter with police in Renala Khurd two years ago.
