ISLAMABAD, Nov 17: The central executive committee of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday said that it would file a case against Punjab chief minister, vice-chancellor Punjab University and leaders of the Islami Jamiat-i-Tulaba (IJT) for allegedly kidnapping party chief Imran Khan.

During a meting here, the PTI’s decision-making body condemned the ‘abduction’ and subsequent arrest of the party chief on the campus of Punjab University Lahore.

It also showed concern over the deteriorating political and security situations in the country.

According to a statement issued here, the violence against the PTI chief at the university was an act of disgracing the whole nation.

“Imran Khan is a national hero and international icon of Pakistan. The mafia-style abduction and detention by paid goons of the government shows the fascist approach by a faltering regime on the brink of collapse,” said a member of the committee and condemned shifting of Mr Khan to Dera Ghazi Khan jail in handcuffs.
