Umar shines in college cricket

KARACHI, Nov 15: Mohammad Umar smashed a brilliant century in Islamia Arts and Commerce College’s (Evening) 26-run victory over Bahria College Karsaz in Karachi Inter-collegiate Cricket Championship at Al-Mansoora Ground on Thursday.

With this win Islamia College qualified for the next round of the competition.

Right-handed Umar smashed 19 boundaries and a six in his 108 off 80 balls as Islamia, batting first, made 184 before being dismissed in 28.3 overs.

Bahria, in reply, were bowled out for 158 in 33.4 overs. Mujtaba Ali top-scored with 30. Furqan Khalil took three wickets for 33 and Umar followed his century with nice figures of 2-21 with his left-arm spin.
