40 suspects arrested in Peshawar

PESHAWAR, Nov 10: The city police arrested on Friday and Saturday 40 suspects, including three proclaimed offenders, in a crackdown on anti-social elements.

The police recovered weapons and five dynamites from the outlaws. ASI of the Kotwali Police Station Tila Mohammad Khan recovered a stolen vehicle and returned it to its owner.

The operation is continuing in the entire Peshawar district under the supervision of Capital City Police Chief Abdul Majeed Marwat and SSP Operation Tahir Khan since the past couple of months.

So far, hundreds of proclaimed offenders and anti-social elements have been detained.

Proclaimed offenders Amanullah (a resident of Pandu Payein), Ayaz (resident of Pawaka) and Irshad (resident of Garhi Sikandar) were arrested by the Kotwali and Pisthta Kharra police officials. The police also recovered 14 pistols, three rifles, hundreds of cartridges and three chargers.

The Hashtnagri police recovered five dynamites from one Niaz Gul resident of Mian Gujjar.—APP
