KARACHI, Nov 8: The Pakistan Under-19 team will target full points when they take on Oman on Friday (today) in their second Group ‘B’ match in the 36th Asian Under-19 Football Championship at the Paas Stadium in Tehran.

Pakistani player will have to give their best to win this match after they faced a humiliating 14-0 defeat against Iran in their first match of the tour.

The Pakistan squad is placed in a five-team pool which comprise India, Oman, Lebanon, Pakistan and hosts Iran.

The top-two teams from each of the seven groups advance to the finals alongwith the best third-placed team.

Hosts Saudi Arabia qualified automatically for the finals which will be held next year.

The Omanis, coached by former international Rashid Jaber, have been camping in Tehran since November 1 while Pakistan is being coached by Bashir Ahmed, a former international stopper and bronze medalist of the 1997 SAFF Championship.—Agencies
