LAKKI MARWAT, Nov 8: Law-enforcement personnel were deployed on Thursday near the residence of district president of PML-N Shafiullah Khan Begukhel and in other parts of the city in a bid to stop the party from taking out a procession against the imposition of emergency.

The party’s district leadership had given a call for a protest demonstration on Thursday. However, on the directives of the local police administration, entry and exist points of the city were blocked and a heavy contingent of law-enforcement personnel deployed.

Talking to journalists, Mr Shafiullah said police deployed along two roads had stopped PML-N activists from entering the Lakki Marwat city.
