MIRPURKHAS, Nov 8: Over 100 evicted people of historical place Kahu-Jo-Daro held demonstration here on Thursday outside the zila nazim office to protest against the non-payment of compensation and alternative land to each affected family.

They told reporters that they were called by zila nazim Mirpurkhas in her office where cheques for Rs10,000 were distributed to only 21 affected people, while there were 119 affected families.

BURNT: A labour sustained serious burn injuries when a landlord and his henchmen set him on fire after he refused to bring them liquor, in village Rano Ramdan, deh 175, taluka Digri, on Thursday.

The injured was rushed to taluka hospital Digri, and after first aid he was referred to Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas.—BoC
