RAWALPINDI, Nov 6: Two convicted murderers will be hanged in Adiala jail before dawn on Wednesday, while the execution of another convicted murderer had been deferred for 15 days, official source told Dawn.

Mohammad Farooq and Mohammad Idris, residents of Gujar Khan had been sentenced to death by Rawalpindi additional session judge in a murder case.

The court issued their death warrants after their mercy petitions were rejected.

They had been arrested by the police on September 30, 1997.

The death sentence of Malik Mazhar Ali, a resident of Sadiqabad, Rawalpindi, has been deferred for 15 days after President Gen Pervez Musharraf accepted his mercy plea.

Mazhar Ali was booked by the police on September 20, 1996 and sentenced in a murder and attempt to murder case on May 1998.
