SHIKARPUR: Tribal dispute claims life

SHIKARPUR, Nov 6: A man was shot dead by his rival at the Civil Hospital Chowk, here on Tuesday.

According to report Raban Ali Shaikh 24, of Mohalla Khanchandabad was shot dead by his rival because of a dispute over petty matter.

On the complaint of Amir Bux Shaikh, uncle of the deceased, New Foujdari Police registered a case against five persons including Zakir, Shahnawaz, Nawab, Abid and Khursheed, all Shaikh by caste.

ARMED CLASH: Thirteen persons were injured in an armed clash between Brohi and Shar tribesmen, near Alahando Khuharo village, Taluka Khanpur, on Tuesday.

Injured Ali Bux, Manzoor Ahmed, Moula Bux, Dil Murad, Rab Nawaz, Misri Khan, Abdul Qadir, Ghulam Shabbir, Yar Mohammad, Noor Mohammad, Qadir Bux, all by caste Shar, and Zaman and Ameer Bux Brohi were sent to the Civil Hospital Shikarpur and the Sultankot Hospital.

Motive behind the incident was said to be a dispute between the two groups over paddy theft. Mian Jo Goth Police registered counter cases against both tribesmen.

GERMAN CONSULAR: The Consul General of Germany, Hans-Joachim Kiderlen visited historical places of Shikarpur, on Tuesday. He was accompanied by the District Nazim Mohammad Arif Mahar, DPO Jamshed Inamullah, DCO Sukkur Khwaja Shafique Ahmed, DCO Shikarpur Ali Akbar Hingorjo, Taluka Nazim Zafar Ali Shaikh, Taluka Garhi Yasin Najaf Ali Kamario and others.
