KARACHI: KU masters programme

KARACHI, Nov 6: The process of admission to the University of Karachi in its masters programme for the next academic session has commenced, according to an announcement.

A KU spokesman said on Tuesday that the admission form and prospectus could be downloaded from the KU website

www.uok. edu.pk and submitted at the designated branches of the UBL with Rs200 till Nov 14.

The forms are also available at these branches, which are: Nazimabad Chowrangi, Bahadurabad, Malir Township, New Karachi, University Road, Hyderi, Hamid Square Gulshan Block-3, Drigh Colony, Landhi Industrial Area, Binnori Town, Defence Garden and Rahimabad.

The candidates having acquired a minimum of 45 per cent marks are eligible for the admission.

Mass Communication results

The semester examination section of the University of Karachi on Tuesday announced the results of BA Hons and MA Final (Mass Communication) examinations 2007. Following are the names of position holders:

BA Hons: Samia Saleem (first position) Asif Shakeel (second position) and Sahar Sana Siddiqui (third position).

MA: Dr M. Vasi Batley (first position with 74.25 per cent marks), Miran Gichki (second position with 73.4 per cent marks) and Maria Najam (third position with 71.3 per cent marks).—PPI
