MINGORA, Nov 5: With security agencies continuing to pound militant positions in different areas of Swat with artillery and mortar shelling, policemen on Monday vacated three more police stations in the northern part of the valley for security reasons.

Witnesses said that several houses had been damaged by shelling in Pir Kalae, Sher Palam, Mandore, Shakardara, Nangoai, Bara Banda and Koza Banda areas of Matta tehsil.

Sources said that police stations in the tourist resorts of Kalam, Bahrain and Madyan had been vacated.
