KARACHI, Nov 5: The progress of work on the ongoing development projects in the Defence Housing Authority was reviewed at the annual meeting of the DHA governing body held at the Headquarters 5 Corps. Administrator DHA informed the meeting that a new drainage system for Phase-V and VI, as well as a master plan for the entire DHA, was being designed.

Secretary Defence Kamran Rasool, who is also the chairman of the DHA governing body called for all possible steps to ensure the completion of the first phase before the next monsoon.

The meeting was informed that the DHA residents would get three million gallon per day water and 80.3MW (net) electricity in addition to the currently supplies through the desalination plant which is likely to be commissioned next month.—PPI
