KARACHI: $10,000 award for Fatehpuri

KARACHI, Nov 5: Dr Farman Fatehpuri, a noted literary figure of the country, has been given a $10,000 literary prize.

A senior member of the panel of judges said on Monday that Dr Fatehpuri had been selected for the award of ARY Gold Literary Prize, given every year since 2001 to a prose writer 70 years of age or more.

Dr Jamiluddin Aali was the coordinator/chairman of the panel of judges which comprised Prof Fateh Mohammad Malik, Dr Rashid Amjad, Prof Zaitoon Bano and Dr Zafar Iqbal.
