TOBA TEK SINGH, Nov 2: Haji Muhammad Ishaq, the defeated candidate of the PPP from NA-92 constituency, has said he will move court regarding recovery of perks the ruling party MNA has been getting for the last over four years on the basis of his fake degree.

Mr Ishaq told reporters on Friday in Gojra that he would also request the court to order registration of a case against MNA Chaudhry Amjad Ali Warraich for producing the fake degree of a ghost seminary of Azad Kashmir.

He said although the Supreme Court decision on an election petition of PML-N’s defeated candidate Hamza against Chaudhry Warraich was much delayed, it was however the victory of justice.

The four-member bench of the apex court, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry, had on Thursday (Nov 1) rejected an appeal filed by MNA Chaudhry Amjad Ali Warraich and upheld the Lahore High Court election tribunal’s decision regarding his disqualification from the NA seat.

Meanwhile, Mr Hamza said that during the last four years he had to attend the court proceedings on 59 occasions while three high court judges had even refused to hear his petition.

He said if the Supreme Court had declared him (Hamza) as MNA after disqualifying the ruling party MNA even then he would have resigned immediately in line with PML-N’s high command decision.

ABDUCTED: Five armed men shot and injured two persons when they tried to resist their bid of abducting their woman relative at Chak 285-GB on Friday.

Rajana police said that accused Abbas and his four accomplices barged into Murtaza’s house and took away his sister-in-law in a car. Upon chasing, the armed men opened fire, injuring Mustafa and Talib seriously. They were admitted to the local DHQ Hospital in critical condition.

LOOTED: Four dacoits took away a trailer loaded with cotton bales near Arrouti on Pirmahal-Abdul Hakeem Road on Friday.

Reports said that driver Akbar was carrying cotton bales from Sheikhupura to Karachi when car riders stopped the vehicle near Nakasoo Bridge. At pistol point, robbers kidnapped the driver while another bandit drove away with the trailer. Later, outlaws fled after locking the driver in a room near river Ravi.
