HYDERABAD, Nov 1: A large number of Hindu community members, including women, took out a rally from Station Road and staged a sit-in on the Hyderabad- Badin road in Tando Mohammad Khan on Thursday in protest against occupation of land of Thanwar Das in Bulri Shah Karim by an alleged criminal.

Police rushed to the place as the protesters refused to disperse. There was an exchange of hot words between the protesters and police.

Talking to reporters, Thanwar Das, Teerath Das, Manji Lal and others alleged that the notorious dacoit, Mullah Chandio, had forcibly occupied their lands and threatening them with dire consequences.

They complained that the police were doing nothing to help them rather threatening them.

VIRUS ATTACK: The sugarcane crop has been attacked by virus in Tando Mohammad Khan district and started to drying up.

Reports said that growers fear huge losses due to virus attack.
