SHIKARPUR, Oct 30: The district council on Tuesday unanimously passed a resolution demanding provision of security to elected representatives of the district and union councils.

Convener Taqi Abbas Kamario presided over the council’s session.

The members also called for constituting an inspection committee to verify the lists of beneficiaries who had been provided financial assistance from the Baitul Maal.

They also called for providing names of the Shikarpur Baitul Maal administration men who had misbehaved with the council’s female members.

Through another resolution they demanded an appointment of an internal auditor for the accounts of the district government Shikarpur and to upgrade the pay scale of an office assistant of district council from BPS-11 to 14.
