LAKKI MARWAT, Oct 28: The president of the ulema and mashaikh wing of Pakistan Muslim League, Pir Dr Mohammad Khalid Raza Zakori, has called upon the people to reject the political leaders who did not fulfil their promises of developing the backward Lakki Marwat district.

He said: “The traditional politicians always grabbed the votes but did not work for the wellbeing of the people.”

He was speaking at a public meeting in Shahbazkhel here on Sunday.

He said the people were facing scarcity of potable water but the local politicians focused attention on taking credit for sanctioning the Kurrum Tangi dam project.

“Masses can’t be deceived by such hollow slogans because they still go to far off places to bring water,” Mr Zakori said.
