KHANEWAL, Oct 27: Three people were killed when the car they were travelling in overturned and dashed against a tree near Pull-12 Mile bus stop, about 25 kilometres from Khanewal, on Kabirwala-Jhang Road on Saturday morning.

Reports said Raja Muhammad Arshad, Muhammad Saleem and car driver Muhammad Akram were proceeding towards Jhang from Khanewal by a privately hired car (MNX-3912) when the driver applied emergency brakes to save a dog. As a result, the vehicle overturned and hit a tree, leaving three people dead.

Arshad and Muhammad Saleem were employees of the Pak-Arab Fertilizers, Multan.

The Kabirwala Saddar police have registered a case.
