PCB to build stadiums in NWFP

MANSEHRA, Oct 26: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) with the collaboration of the Frontier Constabulary (FC) will establish four modern stadiums in the remotest and most backward areas of the NWFP to promote cricket.

These stadiums will be established in Oghi (Mansehra), Kohistan, Muchni and Dara Adam Khail.

Commandant FC NWFP, Malik Naveed Khan laid the foundation stone of the Oghi stadium and said that work on remaining stadiums will be started shortly.

The foundation laying ceremony was attended among others by the Regional General Manager PCB in NWFP Anwar Zab Jan, Regional Development Officer, Hazara Naeem Afzal and DistrictPresident cricket board Mansehra Zahid Saeed.

Speaking on the occasion Malik Naveed Khan said that to promote cricket in the backward and far-flung areas of the NWFP an agreement was mutually signed by the PCB and FC. The FC handed over its four grounds in Oghi, Kohistan, Muchni and Dara Adam Khail which will be upgraded as full-fledged stadiums.
