BANNU, Oct 26: Security forces arrested two people in the Bakakhel area of the Frontier Region of Bannu on Friday for attempting to plant a bomb on the Bannu-Miramshah Road, officials said.

They said the suspects were planting a bomb on the road just before a military convoy was to pass from there. However, a military helicopter flying overhead saw them. The two fled from the site leaving their bomb behind.

The accused took shelter in a farm which was cordoned off by security forces. Soon both were arrested.
